Dementia Support Group meet on 4th May | Understanding dementia and its challenges for families
Samvedna Senior Care conducted its Dementia Support Group (DSG) for caregivers of Dementia patient on 4th May, 2019. A group of caregivers from Gurgaon and Delhi attended the meeting. The agenda of the meeting was to share knowledge about Dementia and to understand the challenges faced by families. The session was opened by Dr. Jayashree Dasgupta. Insights from memory screening camps conducted for seniors 55 and above
As part of the dementia awareness drive by Samvedna Senior Care Foundation, seven free memory screening camps were conducted across Delhi NCR and Gurgaon in the month of March-April 2019. Areas covered included RWAs/SCAs of Safdarjung Enclave, Sukhdev Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, and Samvedna senior centres in Gurgaon and Anand Niketan, Delhi. More than 100+ people were screened for memory impairments and related concerns.

Caring Relations, Caring for Ageing – Workshop and interactions with Heidelberg University, Germany
It was our pleasure to host the students and professors of Heidelberg University, Germany and JNU, Delhi for a workshop on Caring Relations, Caring for Ageing. This is a part of an ongoing DAAD Project, New directions in Active Ageing and Age Friendly Cultures in India and Germany.
Samvedna Senior Care turns 4!
I started Samvedna with the idea of creating a go-to place for senior citizens to spend quality time and engage themselves constructively during the day.
The idea was seeded into my mind probably in 2009, when I was looking for some meaningful community projects as a part of a self-development program I was doing. However, it remained an idea for some more time as I remained busy working my way up the corporate life.
